About the Author

My name is Jill.

First off, no, I don’t jog in jeans.

But here are the details about how this site came about and the truth about what I think of the people that DO jog in jeans.

I live in Las Vegas but my hometown is Pittsburgh, PA which I believe is worthy of its Most Livable City title. In fact, if there was a “Who Loves Pittsburgh The Most” contest, I would have the gold, silver, and bronze metals around my neck. I’d have the trophy in one hand and the giant check in the other.

Me in 30 words:

RedRockLVMy other sites:

Best Race Costumes: A collection of the hysterical, odd, and creative costumes that people wear during races.

Best Race Signs: A collection of the signs that inspire us when we run races.

If you are awesome, email me or follow me on Twitter. I could use more awesomeness in my life. You get bonus points if you are from Pittsburgh!

  1. Now, I have to add Pittsburgh to one of the places I would like to visit. Thanks for liking my post- my life in run: treadmill lover.

  2. Hi Jill, Thanks for visiting my blog. As you can see I am from Pittsburgh as well. I have done a number of post about the city. I hope you come back for a visit or check out other blog posts.

  3. Hi, Jill. Thanks for following my blog. I got lost at midnight in Pittsburgh two weekends ago. But I lived to tell about it. So….here’s to Pittsburgh!

  4. I nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award (which is really just a blog chain letter, but it’s fun) – for more information visit – http://lisafatgirlrunning.com/2012/08/03/a-burn-a-pound-and-a-blog-award/

  5. If you bump into Sid the Kid … Let him know he owes me $20 bucks still! Great blog you have here!!!

  6. Hi Jill. Thanks for stopping by my site. This is an awesome collections of blogs you have going! Maybe I’ll see you out running streets of Pittsburgh sometime!

  7. Hi! Thanks for the likes on my posts, “Running, Writing and the 20-Point Shot” and “Lighting Matches.” I just finished my first 5K, as you know and am starting to get interested in running blogs. Looking forward to checking yours out.

  8. You are an absolute delight! My sister always did the Pittsburgh Half or Relay Marathon when she lived in town, and now she’s started commuting in from Indianapolis for it every year. I never did any races, but I certainly loved running around the Highland Park reservoir. Ahh, I miss Pittsburgh so hard it hurts!

  9. Your blog is awesome! I can’t believe how many people exercise in jeans…I must have been living in a bubble to have never witnessed this. Here I thought it was odd to see men on the trail sweating it up in polo shirts and khakis. Hmph.

I ❤ the Burgh! This past year, I proudly claimed the title "Runner of Steel." 🙂

    Hi Jill!
So glad you stopped by my blog! And so happy to have been linked to by Running is Funny.
I grew up in Fairmont, WV and visited Pittsburgh frequently. We went every fourth of July for the fireworks and Kennywood. My sister and brother-in-law live in Shadyside. We still go to Pittsburgh to do our Christmas shopping.
    Love your blog!
Maybe it’s the small community I run in, but I’ve never seen anyone run in jeans, but maybe I haven’t been paying attention. I’ll be on the look out from now on 🙂

  14. Pittsburgh represent! Maybe I’ll see you dahn at Primanti’s jogging in jeans sometime n’at. 🙂

Funny site. I’ve never thought about jogging in jeans;). Thanks for the follow.

  17. Hmmm … I don’t run (except from patient to patient in my women’s health practice), I don’t live in Pittsburg (but had a blast visiting one time), but I do like funny. I look forward to coming back and checking out your blog.

I nominated your blog for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. I know these things are not much, but know that I appreciate your blog and what you are doing! http://janelikestorun.wordpress.com/2013/10/18/blogging-award-time/

I am also from Pittsburgh and lived there for my first 22 years of life. So I am happy to meet a fellow Pittsburgher blogger.

  19. Great blog. I’ve seen people running in jeans in races I’ve entered. Makes me wonder about all the money I spend on cute running gear. Looking forward to your future posts.

In 2012, while running in the Pittsburgh (half) Marathon I saw someone running in jeans near Allegheny Center (mile 5?), but alas, he was just crossing the road and trying to avoid the hundreds of people stampeding through. Would love to see someone really do this. Maybe for fun someday I’ll do a 5K in jeans.

  21. hey jill, I posted a comment on other site. im still going strong in florida. gap and Versace where are you, and calvin klein!BE MY AGENT!

  22. You sound pretty awesome Jill. Love your page.

  23. Hi Dear Jill, you are welcome! Your blog is very interesting ! I don’t know Pittsburgh but I thin that every place in the world could be Beautiful …depends in the soul of those Who live there!

  24. Hi, Jill! Thanks for the follow and all the likes today. I’ve been to Pittsburgh many times. I am not, however, in the running with you (no pun intended). I’m from the Philly area! Well, not originally, but for many years. Enough that it feels like home.

Your 30 words are properly Type-A Organized Perfectionist, slightly Fidgety! How long did it take to do that? I love the photo of you holding up the Rock of Gibraltar, too. Pleased to meet you, and hoping to see you around!

I don’t jog. I do jeans. With decent waists for women of a certain age. I’ve worn them every day since I’ve retired. Takes me back to my seminary and graduate students days! The joy of not caring.
